We thought it would be safe today to stay in until after lunch since we can not eat or drink in public. What we didn't realize is that NOTHING is open during the day, like from 2pm until 8pm. Everything closes during Ramadan. When night falls everything opens back up until 1am. These wierd hours are making it hard for us to shop for appliances. Don't worry the grocery stores and supermarkets are open, thank God. We went by our house today and there were 4 men there cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. They pressure washed the outside and they were buffing the floors. We could not be happier. Next step, get appliances bought and delivered. Tomorrow Lance will complete the final step to get his residency visa and I am going to pay the fees for Evelyn to go to school. OH, today we were in Carrefour and ran into a couple that we met in March on the school tour. They are from Austin, I think pretty close to were Paul and Amy live. Really nice couple with two boys older than ours. It is a small world.
