Breakfast Club

A few moms came over this morning for coffee, tea, and treats. We are all new to Abu Dhabi and it is fun to compare stories and share our discoveries. We all really enjoy visiting and half of the day is over before we know it. Most of us have a toddler, so the kids play while we chat. Evelyn had a playdate with some kids in her class today after school. We just stayed at school and let the kids play on the playground. Camille played on the playground as well and she had a great time. Both girls were exhausted by the time we got home and I had to carry them both inside. Evelyn is now off for a 4 day weekend. We have parent teacher conference day tomorrow and on Sunday (remember our weekend is on friday and saturday). Lance and I are going to meet with Evelyn's teacher tomorrow afternoon while Anna watches the girls.

What is different in Abu Dhabi: For some reason, and I just don't know why, but most of the locals cover their car seats in plastic. It is like they didn't take the plastic cover from the factory off. I don't know if they are trying to keep the seats clean or do they want everyone to think their vehicle is brand new because it still has the plastic. I surely wouldn't want to sit on a seat covered with plastic on a got summer day. Talk about sticky.
